The Reach for STEM Outreach & Workshop initiative aims to reach out to young people to provide guidance regarding pursuit of STEM education and STEM-related careers. We offer workshops to institutions such as schools and youth clubs free of charge. Our workshops cover students from primary school to the tertiary level.
Outreach/workshop sessions engage participants on themes including:
- What is STEM and building STEM skills.
- Building skills for employability including soft skills (CV, interviewing, conflict resolution, self-expression, etc.).
- Finding STEM interests.
- Awareness of diversity of STEM careers.
- STEM career planning.
Outreach sessions are currently being hosted in the UK and in Ghana. Institutions where our workshops have been held include Accra High School (Accra-Ghana), Accoutre Centre for Learning (London-United Kingdom), Espo Best Child School (Accra-Ghana) and Eastside Young Leaders Academy (London-United Kingdom).
If you are in these countries and would like to have us visit your institution for an outreach/workshop session, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected] to arrange a suitable date and time. We are always looking to new visits and can’t wait to visit!
If you are outside Ghana or the UK and would like us to deliver a workshop for your institution, you can also reach out to us at [email protected] for further discussion.
